Melco Hosts Career-Enhancing Program
On July 6, Melco organized an educational event at Studio City along with The Mekong Club, a nonprofit combatting modern slavery. This event is part of Melco’s SME Academy, a project aimed at fostering continuous learning and aiding local enterprises. The Mekong Club’s Catherine Cheung and Melco’s Hannah Chung addressed over 60 attendees from 44 local businesses, discussing topics like human rights, modern slavery, and sustainable products.
Networking and Collaboration Opportunities
The program included a networking segment allowing local business representatives and Melco officials to engage directly, discussing business needs and potential partnerships.

Participant Caryi Cheung from City Gourmet Company Limited expressed newfound insights into modern slavery and sustainability. She noted the pervasive nature of modern slavery in global supply chains and emphasized the role of compliance and social responsibility in supplier decision-making.
Ongoing Support for SMEs
Established in 2017, the Melco SME Academy has been instrumental in equipping local suppliers with training and industry insights. In 2025, it conducted 13 workshops with 646 participants from 319 businesses.
