Strategic Leadership Extension

Paradise Entertainment has named Ho King Fung Eric as an independent non-executive director and audit committee member, starting June 12. This development, filed with the Hong Kong Exchange, comes as part of the company’s strategy to strengthen governance following its exit from the satellite casino segment.

Ho’s Professional Background

At 49, Ho brings substantial expertise with commerce and law qualifications from the University of New South Wales. His professional journey includes roles in investment banking and legal sectors, having served at prominent institutions such as J.P. Morgan and Deutsche Bank AG in Hong Kong.

Additional Roles and Contributions

Ho is actively involved in various organizations, including the Standing Committee of the Beijing Municipal Committee of CPPCC and the Money Exchangers Association of Macao. Furthermore, he fills the role of honorary consul of Cabo Verde in Macau.

Compensation and Leadership Structure

Ho will earn a director’s fee of HK$120,000 annually. While there is no fixed term, he will be subject to rotational retirement and re-election every three years. His strategic insights are expected to guide the company’s focus on electronic gaming systems.

Future Directions for Paradise Entertainment

Following the closure of Casino Kam Pek Paradise in December, the company continues to prioritize electronic gaming equipment both in Macau and abroad, indicating a robust pivot in operational focus. This move aligns with trends highlighted by the iGaming industry’s growth and challenges.
