Introduction to the Backstage Experience
Starting July 15, City of Dreams Macau will offer a backstage tour for the House of Dancing Water, enhancing its popular non-gaming attraction. The launch coincides with the aquatic show’s approach to its one-millionth attendee since performances resumed in May 2025.
Performance Milestones
Since its return on May 7, 2025, the production has staged over 450 performances, expecting to surpass this milestone in the summer, according to Melco’s announcement. The backstage tour is intended to enrich the audience’s experience.
Tour Details and Pricing
The backstage tour is priced at MOP500 ($62) separately, with a combination package starting at MOP888 ($110). The approximately 30-minute tour is scheduled for 9:15 PM on days with two performances.
Behind the Scenes Exploration
The tour starts at the VVIP box or Golden Circle, leading to the underwater dive zones and allowing guests to witness the daily operations of divers and technicians. Participants will explore the mechanisms behind main props like the Golden Boat and Dream Pagoda.
Revitalized Attraction
Initially launched in September 2010, the show was paused during the pandemic and resumed in May 2025 with updated elements. The backstage tour aims to fortify its role as a premier entertainment feature at the resort. This aligns with Macau’s efforts to maintain high tourist satisfaction rates.
