Sands China Ltd. has once again been recognized in the Dow Jones Best-in-Class Indices. For the fifth year running, the company features in the World Index, and for the sixth year, in the Asia Pacific Index, affirming its strong commitment to ‘People, Community, and Planet’ ESG pillars. Sands China stands as the sole integrated resort operator globally to be included in both significant benchmarks.
Leadership and Commitment
Only Sands China and its parent company, Las Vegas Sands Corp., were selected for the World Index this year from among 16 integrated resort operators. Notably, Sands China is one of the two to be listed on the Asia Pacific Index. Las Vegas Sands Corp. has also maintained its stance in the World and North America indices for the seventh consecutive year. Grant Chum, CEO of Sands China Ltd., expressed pride in this international acknowledgment, emphasizing the ongoing commitment to sustainable growth.
ESG Achievements and Initiatives
Aligned with its sustainability goals, Sands China has fostered local talent development, enhanced community inclusion, and supported SMEs to deliver social benefits across Macao. Key highlights include the Sands China Academy, which has provided 1.8 million training hours in 2025, enhancing employee skills with a cumulative 22.6 million training hours since 2004. Additionally, the Sands Cares Ambassador Programme has offered over 362,000 service hours, playing a significant role in community engagement.
Environmental Accomplishments
Environmental progress is also evident with a 61% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions. Further ecological milestones include renewing ISO 14001 certification, 100% recycling of playing cards, adopting eco-friendly water packaging, and bolstering green procurement strategies.

Since 1999, the Dow Jones Best-in-Class Indices, managed by S&P Global, have been a vital standard for assessing corporate sustainability. These indices evaluate the ESG performance of more than 12,000 companies worldwide, underscoring Sands China’s standing in sustainable business practices.
