UAE Lottery Collaborates for SAGIP Initiative
In a bid to assist Filipino expatriates residing in the UAE, the UAE Lottery has teamed up with the Philippine Consulate General and Infinite Communities to launch the SAGIP initiative. This program, meaning “Rescue” in Filipino, unfolded on June 28, 2026, at the consulate in Dubai, offering beneficiaries vital groceries, career coaching, and wellness support.
Community and Professional Support Focus
The success of the SAGIP initiative was augmented by contributions from local Filipino-owned businesses and professionals. Healthcare experts, HR practitioners, and community volunteers united to provide a holistic and person-centered support system, fostering resilience and empowerment among beneficiaries.
Voices from the Initiative Leaders
Consul Aleah Marie Gica highlighted the program’s role in showcasing the strength of communal collaboration. Meanwhile, Elena C. Cruz, CEO of Infinite Communities, emphasized their commitment to building a supportive environment for the Filipino community.
Career Guidance and Empowerment
Suzan Kazzi from UAE Lottery’s CSR division noted the importance of addressing immediate and long-term needs through the distribution of essential goods coupled with career guidance sessions. These efforts were aimed at helping individuals rebuild confidence and pursue employment opportunities.
Ongoing Commitment to Social Responsibility
Under the H.O.P.E scheme, which centers around Healthcare, Opportunities, Planet, and Enrichment, the UAE Lottery continues to lead impactful social responsibility projects, positively affecting diverse communities within the UAE. Similar efforts can be seen as Japan’s tourism surge boosts the iGaming sector, driving economic and social initiatives.
